Jay Chou The Era Concert, Hong Kong

This few days, I am having serious headache over ticketing-buying issues of Jay Chou Hong Kong concert, which is to be held on 16-19; 21-22 September in Hung Hom Colliseum.

What I know is, The Era is Jay's 10th Anniversary concert, and it must be really a meaningful and fantastic show. So I must be one of his millions fans that take part in his wonderful memories of The Era World Tour. However, only after I discover more deeply into HK's concert culture, I realise that getting his concert ticket is not an easy task.

Although many HongKongers claimed that this time the tickets are selling at double price as compared with last time, which are HKD 880,680,480 and 280. I still firm with my decision on buying at least a 880 ticket, which equivalents to around RM 380. As for me, even a concert ticket in Malaysia by a less wellknown singers will cost up to RM500 or more for the most expensive one, so of course I think that spending less than RM 400 for a Jay concert in Hong Kong is so much worth well.

I go through many ways in order to obtain my ticket, including getting friends with online strangers and ask them to lend a hand. This is unargubly risky and raises concern from my family and friends. However, I have gone through a serious revise on the person's personality and activities and think that she is really a thrustworthy person. Furthermore, she willing to pay for my ticket first before I collecting it from her in HK later. She took leave on the day where counter sales start, and queue up for tickets early in the morning. Unfortunately, many fans were there before her 2 days ago.

I anxiously waited her over MSN in Malaysia while she was on her ticket hunting in HK. Before I get any news from her, I just receive message from another HongKongers about her friend managed to buy her a front-line last show 880 ticket. What a wonderful gift to her ! I hope of getting a good place rises. Unfortunately, in the afternoon, my friend was back with her sis, dissapointed and angry. They even open up mic to voice out their complaints to me regarding the tickets. They can't get to buy 880 nor 680 tickets, T.T because about 90% of the crowd in the queue in front of her are what we call " Yellow Cow Gang"黄.牛.党.

They bought tickets in 10 and gather together to sell them at a relatively higher price to gain profit. Just few minutes after that, we notice a seller on ebay selling Jay's 880 tickets(about 30 tickets) at HKD 26K !!! Really hate them, they failed the real fans dream of watching Jay's concert, they forced fans to buy tickets at a unreasonbly higher price. My friend was super angry and created post and group on facebook and popular forum in order to urge public to go against any transaction with those YCG.

While I still feeling very much heartbreaking, as I can;t even get a 880 ticket for any of the 6 shows. And my 480 ticket is of very bad place, probably can only see Jay's back all the time cause is "paling tepi" punya place =(

But, yesterday, something delighted happened. I manage to log in to the online ticketing system and grab some remaining tickets on last show (22th Sept), but only of 280. But I am very much satisfied as this 280 ticket are quite strategic place compare to 480 one.

For now, I still hope that Jay will have additional performance, although I will back into headache of whether to buy more tickets or not. Hope I can get to watch without any more obstacles. I just want to enjoy your music, Jay Chou !

A Memorable Day-Pesta Ria

Went back St Mary today for Pesta Ria with my siblings. I din't expect it to be that crowded, it seems to be quite a successful carnival. Met with lots of friends as well as some juniors, eden, wanjing, joanne, seow chee, jiayin, vinodthini, meifen, flora, I Ning, and the once little prefect that jaga 5sc1-Yiwen. After all, we have left this Alma mater for nearly 2.5 yrs. Somehow, I really miss my secondary school life, the recess time with my dear gang member (poiki, eden, penguin, pui mei, joanne, siew teng, susu......).

Back to the event today, thou there are various type of stall selling many different stuffs, yet I hardly can spend our RM10 coupon. After all, they don't attract me much. Finally, we bought 2 cups of Yoyoice using a RM5 coupon, and the auntie from the stall claims that no change can be provided. We got no choice, is too hot and thirsty, we desperately want some ICE. But after hours only I realise, there is a ticket changing counter.!!

We also get to meet and chat with many teachers ; Pn Raja, Pn Suraya, Pn Chan, Pn Muhazida, Pn Charan, Miss Wong LB, Pn Judy, Pn Prema, Pn Parimalah and of course, some other whom I miss unintentionally or intentionally. XP
While every meet-up with them, we will gets the same questions, and we will be giving them the same answers. WJ-UK-Maths;Eden-US-Bio;Me-HK-Science??

The most memorable happening is my FT-hunting. After long time of walking, finally we get to find her in 1st Floor, OMG so slim.... While WanJing and Eden were busy chatting with Pn Charan and our x-principal, Joanne helped me to "block" my FT-Mrs. Ng. And then, oh before that please forgive me for repeating this over and over again (especially to eden n wanjing, u know how crazy I will be whenever my FT is involved, but I must record every moment of me and her well, haha).

Yes, she is still able to recall my name and said it out loud "Wai Yeeng". I am really TOUCH. After all, she only taught me a year of Science in Form 2F, 2004, which is 6 years ago !! Even during that time, she prefer to address me as " the monitor". I finally tell her how she actually influences me to have such interest in Science now, I really admire her lot !! Unfortunately, we aren;t able to attend her retirement ceremony in September, but after so many years, I finally get to take a picture with her !! This is a gift that I desperately looking for over the years in St Mary, but sadly I do not have the guts that time.

So as mission of FT-hunting completed, we moved on to the concert in Hall. RM5 - for the seat, for the cooler and fresher air, for the slightly lower noise condition, for us to have some chit-chatting session. Then we went to Selayang Mall, to post office with eden and done some mini shopping there.

Not forgetting Flora, who gave me a big cup of red bean soup for FREE. So paiseh, din't buy from her somemore getting free food from her just before the stall closed at 3pm. Really Thanks for the red bean soup, made in Flora and Fauna's house kitchen, is so SWEET (I actually added some tong sui to the remaining red-bean soup when I am back to home XD)

Thanks for all who invited me to this Pesta Ria (wj, eden n Joanne) and hope to see you on Friday for badminton match !

My First Blog

I remember writing a General Paper essay on Blogs, giving me a satisfying score. Thanks to internet and wikipedia. Indeed, I do not own a blog until now. Since I stopped recording my daily bits onto the diary book which I used to since Form 3, since there is so much I would like to share electronically with my friends, here the blog come.
http://waiyeeng90.blogspot.com

Of course, as expected creating a blog is super simple and quick process. One disappointment is the URL "waiyeeng.blogspot.com" is unavailable. I was curious and thus I looked into the blog with this address, as I thought my name is quite unique in some sense "YEENG". Oops.. What a case, it is occupied by a girl named Wai Yee,Ng .... Well, what to do ? My first thought is to add -90 at the back of my name, which many who borne in 1990 will do. Hope I won't regret when I gets older, as it expose my age indirectly. So dear friends who might be browsing my blog in the future, please do remember not to look into the wrong blog.

Well, for my first post, let me just briefly tell about my current "situation". Finished A-level last year, worked for 2 part-time job occupying about 2.5months, while all the other time, YES ! I am ON for nothing, staying at home most of the time, but not as free as you thought. Really, wake up-breakfast-housework-web-surfing-lunch-games-badminton-cook-gardening-dinner-TV-FB-SLEEP. Time just passes. =(
Now, less than 1 month left and I will be in HK, starting my entirely new Uni-life, in HKU for a 3-years Bachelor of Science programme. I WONDER how would my life be. Hopefully get to know more friends, which I really want to. There would be my FIRST time leaving home for so long, FIRST time celebrating birthday alone, FIRST Christmas without company of family, First New Year in HK, and many more !! I WONDER if I can survive well there. Well, Let's see how later ~

Posting a snapshot of my dear little sis and I on YouCam. Quite addicted to it, after getting my new laptop, what a fun software~

Hebe concert

After a satisfying mid-term test of my Chem1002 course, ( thou I just realised a big mistake that I did not manage to change), I still continue to stay in library for CHEM 1003 revision. Early morning, we was chased out by our hall due to floor waxing. My roomate and I went to the library for revision on our coming mid term, tried Starbucks's X'mas Toffe Nut Latte and mushroom cheese pocket !! So yummy =)

Was surprising that a girl approached me to ask for chem notes photocopying. I wonder how she know I am having them. Never see her before, she don';t seems familiar to me. But I am happy, thinking that I might get to know a new friend in my chem class. As for now, I seriously don't have any friends in my chem course =(. She continue to approach me for questions too, and I also took the initiative to ask for her names and discuss questions with her. However, this still come to an end.... She went off without saying bye to me still..haiz...hehe

Night, went to Kowloon Bay for Hebe music concert. Was bit late, but luckily not yet started. What I can say about the music concert is that, Hebe's voice is really like an angel. She really very talented in singing. She was cute and more relax today compared to last month when she came to HK. However, she sang quite a lot of english songs, jazz songs that I never hear before....
Different a lot from Jay's concert, yet I love both of them. She also dedicated a song for our angel - Selina. T.T

Gambateh ah Selina !!
